Side by side: Ereborian Cc and Lumene Cc
Quick test and display of these two in the shades Doré (Ereborian) and Medium (Lumene). Ereborian's Doré is a bit too warm for me right now, but it is definitely a nice CC cream! Perfect for summer! It has a little less glow than Lumene, which is totally okay with me. I prefer a little less glow and skip powder, especially in the summer. Ereborian is a bit more economical than Lumene, but Lumene is a bit more covering, so for the same coverage level, it comes out even. Forgotten Product and Mascara Test
When I suggested hair masks to a friend yesterday, she asked if I had tried Olaplex. Of course, I have, but I also completely forgot that I tested (and that I even bought) Olaplex curl gel! Today I'm testing it along with Umberto Giannini's mousse (mousse first, then gel). The instructions say to use it as the only product, but I'm skeptical, so I'm trying it this way first. In the pictures, the hair is 80%(-ish) dry and without scrunching the curls, but they never became stiff, so it looks pretty much the same as 💯 dry, just lighter. The first impression is good. It promises frizz-free curls for 72 hours. I think, maybe not on that, but we'll see tomorrow how it looks on day 2! I'm testing to compare BBIA's two black mascaras (the blue fiber mascara and the red one without fibers), and on the left in the picture, I have three layers of the red one, and on the right, I have the blue. Minimal difference, possibly a little more volume on the red. Eyeliner- ish 🥰
I have "soft eyes" that easily tear up and my eyelids get moist. I gave up on soft eyeliner with wings a long time ago and I use waterproof kajal/eyeliner or shadow that I apply (on Urban Decay's primer potion EDEN of course) along the lash line with a flat brush. A third option is to use a long-lasting eyeshadow stick that I drag a little along the outer lash line and blend more or less. Today I really blended "less" (i.e. nothing😅) because I'm lazy and barely made up, but still wanted to test my eyeshadow pencil from Gosh and have SOMETHING more than mascara. If I had wanted to, I could have also taken a flat brush, sprayed a little fixing primer, and patted dark shadow along the lash line since the pencil works almost like a primer in itself. But that will have to be another day 🤗 Otherwise, I just have Estee Lauder's tinted day cream over my regular skincare from Filorga, a little cream rouge from Nilens Jord (Danish brand), the concealer from It Cosmetics under my eyes, and the brow gel from Nyx on my brows. Saturday with Lancome
Yesterday I tried this foundation from Lancome. I don’t buy an expensive foundation “on a whim” but I want to test them first, and I got a little sample of this one. I like it, but honestly, it reminds me a lot of Lumene’s Cc-cream in coverage, maybe liiiiiitle more covering but not much. The shade 220C worked well since I haven’t used any BUS, but if I were to buy it, I would probably need a darker one to mix with. On my eyelids, I have a taupe/gray-purple-beige eyeshadow pencil from Danish GOSH, and it was really nice and seems to be long-lasting. It needs to be tested more! Unfortunately, it seems that this one isn’t sold here at Lyko, but there are some older products available here (I assume since I bought it in Copenhagen and they should have the newest ☺️ I also bought a green eyeshadow pencil, a brown “duo-cream eyeshadow” where one is matte and the other is glittery, as well as an eyeshadow palette that I will swatch here since it’s sold at Lyko! I’m extra curious about the green shade in the palette (which looks more gray on Lyko’s site). Improvised Quick Styling
I air-dried my hair last time I washed it, so today my hair was like "half-shaved with sporadic fall", meaning neither good straight hair nor good curly hair. I didn’t feel like getting my hair completely wet, but still wanted to do something, so I sprayed my hair damp with water, but not as wet as one "should" if you want the best curls. If you want thicker curls, meaning to counteract frizz and thin curls that separate into even smaller, you should spray/dampen the hair to "dripping"/soaking wet to form "clumps" (there's no good word in English, but clumps means thicker collections of hair in each "curl" type) to scrunch the product into. So I basically did the opposite of what one "should"... but I thought it would be fluffier than defined, and that’s better than before at least 😜 I scrunched in #happycrazymine lock-gel (I see it more as a cream though), gel from #umbertogiannini and mousse from #tigi (not a product combo I normally use and reverse order of gel and mousse 😅) I dried a bit sporadically with the diffuser (the funnel) on the blow dryer, and when all the skinny curls were dry, I scrunched out the hard/stiff from the curls with the oil from #kerastase. I’ve seen better, I’ve seen worse ☺️ If someone else looks, they probably won’t notice a bigger difference than usual. I see that the curls are more/thinner and will probably notice the difference in durability the most, I think, but that’s negligible. Now I’m sitting in the city enjoying the late summer sun with a coffee, and my hair still looks totally okay. Linking the makeup too! After peeling ✨
I use peeling one to two times a week depending on what kind of peeling/exfoliation I use and the condition of my skin. My skin is quite sensitive, a bit dry combination skin with redness and often needs something soothing and stabilizing after I have exfoliated. Day 3 hair and old favorite
If you remember/know how much mousse and gel I use when I style my hair curly/wavy, it’s actually pretty cool that my hair can feel this fresh on day 3, and I’ve also brushed it out today. I just lightly sprayed a bit of water over my hair since I didn’t want such defined curls today. Done! ☺️ Clarins beauty flash balm was the only thing you heard about as a primer before the "primer boom" a few years ago. Is it still selling well? It feels like it’s fallen off social media and TikToks at least. I didn’t appreciate it much ten years ago, but now I think it makes my skin feel a bit more plump when I pat it in. I guess it’s because with age, my skin actually needs a little extra of everything now; before there wasn’t much to "liven up". It doesn’t help the longevity of the makeup otherwise, but it gives a nice base to "paint" on. Here are some SPF favorites I'm using right now Biotherm - Waterlover hydrating sun milk. Incredibly easy to apply, smells great! Filorga - UV cellular protect I love this! I've used I don't know how many packs! Protects incredibly well, mild scent, gives a magical type glow, doesn't get sticky. Worth every penny! This is the previous packaging! It's quite thick in consistency and gets pretty light so you have to work it in a bit but protects incredibly well and kind of perks up a bit under the eye! Hello Sunday - Hand cream I usually have this in my bag and one in the car. Don't forget your hands when you're out in the sun! Even you who drive, make sure to apply on your hands.
