Pure Shades

Love this product for refreshing color, and I find that it holds well for being semi-permanent, plus it cares for the hair. Best results when I don’t dilute the liquid with conditioner. It becomes easier to apply, but less pigment sticks. I’ve found that a little less liquid and slightly damp freshly washed hair makes it easier. Taste and preference. Works for me 😊

I've been using this for a few months now to brighten up the orange color. On its own, it's quite heavy, at least for my fine hair type. It leaves hair tangled and feeling heavy. If you mix it with your favorite conditioner, it feels better. Also easier to apply since the product itself is very 'watery', meaning it drips and makes a mess during use. The color is really good, it stays bright for a couple of washes before needing to be reapplied. It really feels like it's missing something to mix it with. Three stars for color intensity, but poor in terms of conditioning.

I use these to refresh my hair color, LOVE the color result but they stain the rest of my hair CRAZY fast when I try to rinse them out after they've set. These two create a purple color when I rinse my hair (nothing weird about that, two colors mix), but since I'm alone, I have to bend forward to rinse it out so the mixed color touches my uncolored hair and parts of it now have a faint purple tint. I haven't let the colored water sit on my hair to "soak in", it has just been rinsed through. I will try to find other ways to rinse my hair out to avoid this in the future and will buy these again, but it definitely brings my rating of the products down.
