Super pretty color, but didn't take at the roots.
I had heard so much about this so I was very eager to try it! Used their shampoo first as recommended. I think the color stuck really well to the rest of the hair and became strong and pretty! 😍 But it didn't take at the roots, so it doesn't look that nice. I'm going to try to just dye the roots and see how it turns out. But a bit disappointed that it didn't take there at all. Pink pastel
I have bleached hair, but this color washed out after one wash, so on the first rinse. It didn't quite turn out the right shade, but rather more towards peach, and the color became uneven. I recommend Revlon's color bomb in pink (005) to achieve a pink tone that also lasts longer. Really nice color but doesn't last
I use this and the color itself is insanely nice. I use Pillarbox Red. Unfortunately, it fades and after three washes the color is pretty dull. I've been using semi-permanent colors since 2010, and Directions is a recurring brand. After a few years with turquoise hair, it was time to switch. I bleached until I had almost white hair at the roots but still had some blue pigment in the lengths. I used lilac but a light pink on the lengths for color correction, and it turned out about the same. Super satisfied! For a good result, it's best to apply the color directly from the jar on dry, bleached hair. If you want it lighter, it will wash out over time, and then when you want to freshen up the hair, you can make a mixture with conditioner. But to get a good, covering result on the first dyeing, you shouldn't dilute the color. For the roots, I used two jars.1 product in post Love - The post was made 3 weeks

More blue than green
Alpine green I have been using this color for a few years, and since the packaging changed to blue, it has become more blue in tone. From dark turquoise/green to smurf blue. Good color otherwise, but no longer green. Not what I expected
I've been using directions on and off since like 2010, what has gotten significantly better is that the pigments now stick even when you haven't over-bleached your hair, but now I was actually disappointed. I bought Ebony because I wanted black, but it turned purple and washed out blue. I thought it was the application, so I washed with their own prep shampoo, no conditioner, let the hair dry, put in plenty of color and let it sit for 2 hours but it still turned purple. I had it on my scalp so I added Lilac in the transition so it looks absolutely okay, but it's laaaaang away from black unfortunately 😢1 product in post Not what I expected419 views

Vibrant, bold semi-permanent colors in a ton of different shades. Super easy to use and you can mix the colors to create your very own unique hue!
Preparation:
1. Shampoo
Wash your hair with a pH balanced shampoo; we recommend La Riche Pre Colour Shampoo. This will give your hair the right balance, ensuring that Directions hair color achieves the best results. Directions Colour Protecting Shampoo is specially formulated for colored hair, helping you get the most out of your color. It leaves your hair soft, manageable, and with an amazing shine.
Application:
2. Comb your hair
Comb the Directions hair color into your hair until the color emulsifies, meaning it starts to foam. This indicates that the color has penetrated the hair; lighter shades may require a bit more combing.
3. Processing
Let the color sit for 15 to 30 minutes. A plastic cap helps retain heat in the hair, which can lead to better results.

4. Rinsing
Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water, avoiding your face, until all excess color is washed out. If you're applying more than one color, make sure to wash and dry the hair separately. Be extra careful when coloring only parts of light hair.
Tips:
- Wear plastic gloves when applying the color.
- Apply petroleum jelly or another thick ointment along your hairline to avoid getting color on your forehead.
- As with all hair colors, it's recommended to do a patch test first.
- Don't use conditioner before coloring your hair.
